This album draws primarily on the old-time fiddling traditions of two regions: eastern Kentucky and our Blue Ridge Mountain homeland of western North Carolina, northern Georgia, and eastern Tennessee. Many of the tunes we focused on for this project have historical connections to the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and England, while other included pieces are associated with Native American fiddlers and history.
